My Story
Natalie Abraham is a proud Wadi Wadi woman, Aboriginal artist and founder of Create Ripples. Art, culture and storytelling have always been a big part of Natalie’s life. From a young age, she learnt about Aboriginal art, symbols and storytelling from her Elders, whose teachings continue to guide and inspire her work today.
While Natalie has always had a passion for art, it became an even more important part of her life following the loss of her sister, Britt. Creating art became a way to process grief, find healing and honour the legacy Britt left behind.
Natalie founded Create Ripples in memory of Britt and as a way to continue the ripple effect she created throughout her life. Through her artworks, Natalie shares stories of culture, connection, resilience and healing, while also sharing her own journey in the hope of helping to normalise conversations around grief, something Britt was deeply passionate about.
Natalie works with organisations, schools, community groups and individuals to create meaningful artworks that celebrate culture, community and connection. Through each piece, she hopes to create a lasting ripple of understanding, reflection and positive impact.
